Morguard helps the communities in which we operate prosper by supporting a broad range of social causes through community organizations. We believe we have a unique ability and responsibility to contribute to better places for people to live, work, and play.
The Opportunity
Be an integral part of the communities in which Morguard operates and have a lasting, positive impact through responsible development and property management, corporate donations, fund raising initiatives, and employee volunteering. Focus efforts on teamwork, education, and on allowing the passions of Morguard’s employees to motivate them towards making our work a better place to live and to do business.
The Value Proposition
Using Morguard’s national presence become a champion for issues at the local, regional, and national level that have an impact on the built environment and ensure both socially and physically sustainable communities for generations to come.
Participate in public consultations to ensure that Morguard is meeting local needs and addressing critical issues, as well as consulting with a wide range of neighbourhood stakeholders, including community organizations, municipal staff, and business improvement associations.
Leveraging our strong relationships, retain and partner with local consultants, contractors, and suppliers and remain committed to protecting local habitats and, where appropriate, selecting sites that can be redeveloped or remediated, thereby contributing to the sustainability of the community and the greater region.
The Result

On multiple projects in British Columbia, Morguard goes beyond erosion and sediment control during construction activities by establishing filtration ponds to remove silt and debris from water used during construction that is released to storm drains thereby positively impacting fish habitat by enhancing oxygen levels.
